Greenfleet is actively involved in the environmental industry, with a particular interest in the low-carbon market.  We are members of a number of industry organisations and are contributing to industry development through consultation processes.

2°C Challenge Communique
      Greenfleet is a signatory of this Communiqué urging governments to break the
      deadlock in international negotiations and take necessary action to ensure a
      successful transition to a sustainable and climate resilient economy.

Sustainable Business Australia (SBA)
      Greenfleet is a member of Sustainable Business Australia.

Melbourne Carbon Export Cluster
      Greenfleet is a member of this group of Victorian companies focused on
      implementing renewable energy, energy efficiency and other eligible projects in
      developing countries initially under the Kyoto Protocol

Carbon Innovators Network
      Several Greenfleet staff are members of this network facilitated by EPA Victoria.

The Alliance for Clean and Efficient Energy (ACE2)
      Greenfleet is a signatory to this initiative of concerned business and community
      groups calling for mobilisation of resources to tackle climate change.

RMIT Environment Program Advisory Council
      Sara Gipton is a member of the Environment Program Advisory Council for
      RMIT's School of Global Studies, Social Science & Planning. 

Urban Development Industry Association (Vic)
      Greenfleet is a member of the UDIA in Victoria and supports their goals to 
      inspire and increase sustainable urban development.

      Greenfleet CEO, Sara Gipton was instrumental in the establishment of this
      industry association.

Supporting the next generation:

Monash University - Department of Business Law and Taxation
      Greenfleet sponsors the prize for the top student in Corporate Environmental
      Responsibility.  Greenfleet CEO, Sara Gipton has been a keynote speaker at the
      awards ceremony and also addresses the students throughout the course.

University of Queensland - SMART initiative
      Greenfleet sponsors a prize for the top student studying Business Management
      in a Carbon Constrained World.  We are also conducting field trips for students
      in the School of Integrative Systems and investigating student research projects.

Internships
      Greenfleet hosts many students for internships and projects.  Students have
      come to us from La Trobe University, Monash University, RMIT, Melbourne
      University and Deakin University, studying in fields such as natural resource
      management and international relations.

Australian Youth Climate Coalition     
      Greenfleet donated some office space to the team from the Australian Youth
      Climate Coalition from June 2009 to August 2010.  This group is working to
      activate Australia's youth, who will be most impacted by the effects of climate
      change, and talking to governments on their behalf.  We were very pleased to 
      help the AYCC with accommodation so they could focus on developing a youth
      climate movement.

Our staff also attend and present at many industry events and conferences.
