Greenfleet as an organisation

Greenfleet is a small, passionate not-for-profit organisation that has been operating for more than 10 years.  Greenfleet prides itself on being lean - focusing our revenues on education and awareness of how to avoid and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the planting of native forests to offset emissions.

Our Team

The Greenfleet team brings together skills and experience gained through careers in finance, commerce and professional services; forestry; government and not-for-profit environmental organisations; the building industry and more.  The whole team is dedicated to making a difference in the fight against climate change.

Our CEO

Sara Gipton became CEO of Greenfleet in early 2007 after moving to the environmental sector in 2005.  Sara joined Greenfleet after holding senior financial roles at the Victorian Workcover Authority and prior to that worked in Ernst & Young's Audit and Consulting Divisions for more than 12 years. Sara is a Chartered Accountant, with an Honours degree in Science and a Masters of Social Science focused on environmental management and planning.

Sara is a member of the RMIT School of Social Science Environment Advisory Committee and member of the Melbourne Boston Sister City Committee, as well as a member of other community organisations.

Our Governance Structure

The Greenfleet team is guided by a Board of Directors, a National Advisory Council and a Business Advisory Council.  These positions are all voluntary and we thank all the members for sharing their valuable time and extensive experience with Greenfleet.

Our Board

The Greenfleet Board is drawn from a wide variety of academic and commercial backgrounds.  This broad experience helps ensure Greenfleet is well positioned in the carbon marketplace and can continue to offer solutions to individuals and businesses throughout Australia.

Our National Advisory Council

Greenfleet's Board and management is assisted by a National Advisory Council, whose members provide strategic advice relevant to their areas of expertise and each state and territory in which we operate.

Our Business Advisory Council

Our team is also assisted by a Business Advisory Council - a group of executives from a range of industries, helping to promote the Greenfleet program and ethos throughout their industries.
