McPhersons Printing Group

12 vehicles
52 tonnes of CO2-e

McPherson's Printing Group is the leading book producer in Australia and complements this as a major provider of loose-leaf printing and associated logistics services.  We are a total solutions provider for publications printing, recognized as the leader in offering unique and innovative solutions to our customers.

We believe that part of our service requirement is a responsibility to the environment.  McPherson's Printing Group is proactive in minimizing any adverse effect that print may have upon the community and the environment.

During its lifetime we had  made a commitment to the Federal Government's Greeenhouse Challenge to continue to strive for major reductions in greenhouse gas emissions throughout our operation.  After this program was brought to an end, McPherson's decided to seek certification to the Environmental Management system ISO EMS 14001 and this was achieved in May 2010.

McPherson's pulps all its waste paper for recycling, extracts silver & aluminium content from film & plates for recycling, systems are in place to ensure chemicals do not leak into waste water and sewerage systems.

Recently a water wise program has seen recycling introduced and water consumption drop by 66% as well as tanks installed for water harvesting.

Through Waste Wise, McPherson's has committed to reduce its waste to landfill and in doing so has recycled all plastics, strapping and is even investigating paper dust recycling in an effort to reduce landfill to zero.

We are pleased to be a supporter of Greenfleet which further demonstrates our commitment to the environment by offsetting our vehicle fleet's CO2 emissions by planting trees.
