City of Kingston's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles is in top gear.  Our Greenhouse and Energy Management Plan focuses on a range of efficiencies which will reduce emissions, energy use and cost without compromising the quality of services delivered.

Changes made to fleet already include downsizing fleet vehicles from six cylinder to four cylinder and choosing vehicles with alternative fuels such as LPG and diesel.  Future actions will focus on reducing the total number of fleet and further expanding the range of alternative fuel vehicles.

All remaining emissions will continue to be offset by Greenfleet, helping to put the breaks on climate change in Kingston.
