• Ensures the University is complying with its legal requirements; and
• Provides a basis for the implementation and reporting of Deakin wide environmental programs and progressively integrating environmental sustainability principles into other Deakin strategies.

The sustainable transport objective within the Plan aims to contribute positively to sustainable transport outcomes by reducing pollution and GHG emissions, reducing fuel usage and increasing public and other non-car transport use.
