Greenfleet has four planting sites throughout Kosciuszko National Park, with a total area of about 520 hectares. A fifth site to be planted in 2011 will add a further 65 hectares of revegetation.
More Information & Photos...A number of sites were planted in 2002 along the shores and neighbouring paddocks of Lake Hume. These sites formed part of the Murray Darling Rescue project aimed at reducing salinity and erosion in this important river system.
More Information & Photos...Dangerbridge Farm near Boreen Point on the Sunshine Coast was no longer required as a productive farm, so owners decided to return it to a natural forest with the help of Greenfleet.
More Information & Photos...The Greenfleet project at O'Sheas Crossing is doing more than just capturing carbon, it is also helping to improve the Brisbane River catchment for the south-east Queensland populations that depend on this water supply.
More Information & Photos...This project was not just one site, but 70 sites throughout the Murray Darling Basin across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the ACT. The project was carried out in collaboration with Scouts Australia.
More Information & Photos...Greenfleet and Scouts Australia joined forces to plant this site in 2007. The land is owned by SA Skydiving, who aim to plant a tree for every person that skydives with them.
More Information & Photos...Jigsaw Farms, situated in south-west Victoria, is a brilliant example of how trees can be used to benefit farming practices as well as capturing carbon. This revegetation project includes a series of shelter belts and creek side sections direct seeded between 2003 & 2006.
More Information & Photos...Point Sturt rests on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, the largest of the lower lakes feeding the River Murray mouth.
More Information & Photos...Formerly one of the reservoirs supplying Melbourne with water, Devilbend is now a Natural Features Reserve. Greenfleet had the opportunity to revegetate nearly 50 hectares of ex-grazing land around the dam with Parks Victoria. The project was conducted over three years and now contributes to the environmental values of the area.
More Information & Photos...This site was the original army base for Victoria in the 1870s. After Federation it became the home of the Light Horse Brigade, and was eventually succeeded by Puckapunyal. The land now hosts the Australian Light Horse War Memorial Park, with Greenfleet trees encircling the property.
More Information & Photos...Located about 40 kilometres west of Mansfield, this site has retained a few old trees but has primarily been grazed for decades and the soil was highly compacted prior to Greenfleet's involvement. Twelve different species of Australian plants, native to the area, were selected to guarantee maximum survival and restore the natural flora and fauna of the area. The seed was collected on the property and the immediate surrounding area.
More Information & Photos...This is a 274 ha revegetation project on a property named Ploughshare in Wedderburn, Victoria. The name comes from the relatively rare Ploughshare Wattle, which occurs in the area.
More Information & Photos...Coalville Camp was planted in 2005-06 to reestablish Mountain Ash dominated forest in a moist valley of the Strzelecki Ranges, south of Moe. The planting comprised 14 hectares of steep hills and fertile soils. The owners run a holiday camp, and the value of this is enhanced by the tranquil setting offered by this forest.
More Information & Photos...The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) Research Centre, just outside the regional NSW city of Wagga Wagga, offers a hands-on approach to studying land-based industries and issues. A 20 ha Greenfleet revegetation project is just one of a number of forestry research projects taking place on the 200 ha site.
More Information & Photos...Niemuroo is an 814 hectare property on the banks of the Niemur River (an anabranch of the Murray), 20 km south of Moulamein in the NSW Riverina. The revegetation of this site aims to enhance nearby reserves, provide habitat for native species and, of course, offset carbon emissions.
More Information & Photos...Greenfleet was approached by Parks Victoria to assist in this bushfire recovery project. It aims to create a habitat corridor between Kinglake National and Warrandyte State Park for threatened species such as the Brush Tailed Phascogale which were affected by the fires.
More Information & Photos...Minjelha Dhagun, nestled at the foot of Mt Barney, Queensland, is a co-operative of eight indigenous clans from the Yugambeh language group. 60 ha of the 400ha farm has been set aside for revegetation with Greenfleet.
More Information & Photos...Large scale clearing that has occurred since European settlement in this area is now causing salinity issues, with the saline water table rapidly rising. In addition to sequestering carbon, this site was planted to combat this plaguing issue.
More Information & Photos...An ongoing relationship between Greenfleet and Three Bridges Thoroughbreds has seen 33 hectares of shelter belts established so far.
More Information & Photos...Greenfleet has progressively planted 44,000 trees over 11 years at Battery Creek, a water catchment area for South Gippsland Water. The project helps to improve land stability, water quality and biodiversity in the catchment area.
More Information & Photos...Cobaw is one of a series of sites Greenfleet has revegetated in the Macedon & McHarg Ranges area of Central Victoria. This particular site promotes a healthy combination of grazing, recreational space and environmental stewardship, with trees being established around a series of wetlands that feed from one end of the property down to the other.
