Greenfleet is a signatory to The Copenhagen Communique, which sets out the business case for a strong and effective UN climate framework. We are urging other climate conscious and environmentally responsible businesses to do the same.
More than 900 companies from around the world, ranging from the world's largest companies and best known brands, to Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), have signed up to support this important statement.
The Communique has been presented to UK Prime Minister - Gordon Brown, European Commission President - Jose Manuel Barroso, and UN Secretary General - Ban Ki Moon.
It calls on world leaders to agree an ambitious, robust and equitable global deal on climate change. When it was presented to EU President Barroso, the Communique was accompanied by an open letter from EU businesses stating that a strong deal in Copenhagen will enable business to "lead the transformational change that must occur in the world economy within the next couple of decades," but warned that "a weak deal will be bad for the climate and for the economy".
