Youth Decide - youth vote on climate change

More than 300 events will be held around Australia this week as part of Youth Decide - an opportunity for young Australians to send a message to the government about the world they want to inherit.

Organised by the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and World Vision, here's a small sample of the Youth Decide events this week:

  • free Youth Decide Concert at Federation Square (Melbourne) - Wednesday
  • desertSMART eco fair (Alice Springs) - Saturday
  • free BBQ lunch anyone voting at Warwick High School (Qld) - Monday to Thursday
  • event to coincide with AIRTIME Invitational (Mt Buller) - Saturday
  • Y.E.S! event in conjunction with Party in the Park (Lismore, NSW) - Saturday

Many more events are listed on the Youth Decide website.

The main goal of the week is to get tens of thousands of young Australians to vote on the targets and action they want Australia to commit to at Copenhagen in December.

Voting is easy.  Vote online, at the Youth Decide concert or one of the hundreds of local voting events, at one of 70 National Australia Bank branches or even at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Greenfleet is pleased to be providing office space for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition to support them with Youth Decide and other activities.
