Did you know that Greenfleet offsets are tax deductible? Why not capture some carbon, reduce salinity, tackle erosion, improve water quality and provide habitat for native wildlife by planting some trees with your taxes this year?

  • Sign up your car based on the greenhouse gas emissions that the average car produces in one year. For $51 tax-deductible, Greenfleet will plant 17 native trees on your behalf to offset your car's greenhouse emissions for one year*.

  • Use our 'Tree Totaller' greenhouse calculator to work out the greenhouse gas emissions produced by your particular car, home/office energy use or air travel. We'll then invite you to offset these emissions through our program.

Based on the most recent ABS statistics (released October 2007), the average car driving on Australia’s roads generates 3.9 tonnes of greenhouse gases (3.9 tCO2-e) per year.
To offset 3.9 tCO2-e, Greenfleet needs to plant 15 trees as part of a biodiverse native forest. However, Greenfleet has always planted 17 trees per year for the standard car and we will continue to do so. This will offset at least 4.3 tCO2-e per car, providing a 10% buffer to allow for variation between vehicles, driving style and annual distance driven.
To calculate and offset emissions for your specific vehicle and fuel consumption, please use our Tree Totaller.
