Wayne has worked in the sustainability sector for many years. He was the founder and CEO of ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability Oceania through which local governments saved over 20 million tonnes of CO2-e. He has consulted to a wide variety of organisations including the Green Building Council of Australia and the Bicycle Network, as well as international groups such as the International Energy Agency. Wayne has presented at many conferences around the world and developed workshops to demonstrate practical approaches to sustainability.

Michael has over 20 years’ experience in natural resource management. As a professional forester, he worked in Canada, Ireland, CSIRO, Conservation Commission of the Northern Territory and Natural Resources Conservation League. He was Parks Manager at Bayside City Council in Melbourne. After spending two years as a Financial Planner advising clients on agricultural investments, he entered the not-for-profit sector at Conservation Volunteers Australia and now heads up our amazing revegetation team.

Annabel is an experienced brand manager and marketing & communications leader who has successfully negotiated complex organisational structures to integrate a commercial and customer centric approach. She is passionate about working with purpose driven organisations, contributing to positive and sustainable change. Annabel worked in universities for over 15 years, supporting participation, diversity and social inclusion in education, and now leads Greenfleet's Marketing & Engagement team towards growing climate hope.

Gunther Jurkschat, combines a deep knowledge of the automotive industry with a passionate commitment to practical climate action.

With a career spanning three decades, Gunther has worked for global corporations in the aviation and resources industries, operated his own small business for almost a decade, and advocated for the automotive industry with the Motor Trades Association Queensland and Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC).

In his role as General Manager with VACC, Gunther is actively involved in growing the VACC membership base, developing and formulating policies, and overseeing the organisation’s commercial activities.

Gunther holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW, and a Master of Business from University of Queensland. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Gunther is focused on Greenfleet’s ambitious strategic plan, and on sharing how carbon offsetting can address climate change, improve biodiversity and contribute to building better communities, and a better future for all Australians.

Alexis has been in marketing & sales for over 18 years. Starting her career in sales at Telstra, she has experience in several facets of sales from Outbound Telemarketing to Sales Force Effectiveness. This is where she became a Direct Marketing expert.  

After completing a Master of Business, Alexis joined GE to complete a Commercial Leadership Development program. Over the next two years Alexis lived in New Zealand, India and travelled to various countries whilst enabling the transformation of GE Capital’s digital function. Alexis spent two years helping GE Capital transform its digital customer experience through search, user experience, personalised content strategies and lead generation programs.  

The last four years of her career have been spent at the largest life insurer in Australia, TAL, with a mission to transform the business and modernise marketing functionality and operations. As the GM of Marketing, Alexis and her team manage acquisition and retention across B2B and B2C. She has been a driving force in the digital and automation transformation of the business and driving return on marketing investment.

Dominique received a science degree in Botany from Melbourne University and followed this with a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Cleaner Production) and a Doctorate in Architecture 2005 from RMIT University, Melbourne.  
Her key research questions are: 'why, when we have been 'doing' sustainability for so long, are we having an ever-increasing impact?', 'People create such beauty with music, food, art, buildings and community why is it so difficult to be a thriving part of the earth's systems?' and 'How can the built environment be part of this thriving?' As such she has looked at biomimicry, biophilia, regenerative design, permaculture, regenerative and positive development. This resulted in the publication of the award-winning book 'Designing for Hope: Pathways to Regenerative Sustainability', co-authored with Professor Chrisna du Plessis. Her continued research centres on how to create a built environment that is good for people and nature.

Jack is the Sustainability Manager for Fonterra’s APMEA region. Fonterra is a dairy farmer’s co-operative and the world’s largest milk processor. Prior to this, Jack was a sustainability consultant for KPMG and worked with a range of industry and government clients in Australia, NZ and East Asia. He was also the author of KPMG’s "CEO’s Guide to Carbon in Asia Pacific".  

Previously Jack managed the CarbonTender™ project which established biodiverse carbon sinks for the Victorian Government (a Banksia award finalist in 2006). He first engaged with Greenfleet

over a decade ago when procuring carbon offsets for Government fleet emissions.

David Lamb worked with Ford Motor Company in Australia and around the world before joining CSIRO. He was chairman of aXessaustralia projects that resulted in more than $1.5 billion in automotive component export contracts. He was responsible for the CSIRO Low Emission Hybrid car, and the Holden ECOmmodore project between CSIRO and Holden, shown at the 2000 Olympics.  

David and his team won the CSIRO Chairman's Gold Medal for 2000. He led CSIRO's entry into alternative fuels research and energy storage technologies, and he pursues the quest for more efficient fuel use as a member of the Jamison Group and of Greenfleet Australia.

Angela McClowry is a Research Analyst at Cleanleap, a start-up focused on sharing insights on clean technology solutions such as renewable energy, and waste and water efficiency. Angela has fifteen years' experience in sustainability, environment and corporate responsibility.  

Prior to her role at Cleanleap, she was Sustainability Manager for the Australian Food and Grocery Council, developing and implementing their 10-year industry-wide sustainability strategy. Angela gained forestry experience whilst working for the agribusiness investment company Timbercorp, was an environmental analyst for British Energy in London, and a project manager with the global consulting firm Environmental Resources Management (ERM) in Chicago.


Greenfleet Board Member The Hon Tom Roper

The Hon. Tom Roper represents the Greenfleet Board at the Business Council. Tom currently lives in Melbourne after eleven years overseas - Ottawa, London, New York - and has been involved in environmental policy at all levels, locally and internationally. 

Since his retirement following 21 years in the Victorian Parliament (Australia), Tom has been an active Board Member of the Washington DC based Climate Institute, Global Urban Development and Greenfleet Australia, an advisor to government, business and NGO's on sustainability issues and an Honorary Life Member of the Metropolis Association.  
He is the Project Director of the Global Sustainable Energy Islands Initiative which provides assistance to Small Island States seeking to introduce renewable energy and energy efficiency measures. Tom is also Chair of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council and was appointed to the Board of Renewables SA by the Premier, Mike Rann.

Philip has degree qualifications in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Masters in Commercial Law, and a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice. He has worked in a variety of accounting and financial services firms at the senior level in Australia and Asia, both listed and unlisted.  

Philip has developed a keen interest in the areas of business management and governance. Philip is the Principal of Oakland Group Pty Ltd and is a frequent guest speaker to industry, not-for-profit and Government bodies on developing governance procedures and efficiencies for management and Boards.

The Business Advisory Council provides external advice and strategic support to the Greenfleet team.

Roger Perry is one of the region’s foremost productivity improvement and organisational design experts. He has been an Assignment Director and Steering Committee member on over 40 transformation programs. Roger also leads many of the Bevington Group’s transformation strategy assignments. 

Roger is an experienced Company Director having sat on the Boards of a range of companies including E*TRADE Australia, ANZ International Ltd (Singapore), Greenfleet, and Bevington Consulting Pty Ltd. Roger also serves on advisory bodies such as the Victorian Government’s transformation program for public hospital processes. Roger is also very active contributor to Australia’s charitable sector as the Chair of the World Vision Business Advisory Councils.

Chris Balfour has a senior leadership role as the General Manager Corporate Support for Consumer Affairs Victoria, which includes responsibility for finance and trust funds management, people capability and organisational development, web services and business support systems, corporate planning, reporting and governance functions. 

Chris has extensive experience in government policy and strategy development, review and program implementation. He has performed a wide array of senior roles leading complex projects from business case development, procurement, process improvement, business transformation and evaluation. Chris’ background includes consulting and advisory services to State and Australian Government agencies in, justice and regulatory services, environmental sustainability and community safety sectors.

Jonathan Denby is an experienced finance executive with skills developed as a senior investment banker and through General Manager roles in strategy, M&A and investor relations. Jonathan has led business improvement programs to improve the performance and efficiency of manufacturing footprints, commercial activities and operational cost base. Jonathan has also led strategic reviews of China in-market operations, including distribution strategies and growth projects, and significant retail operations.

Joan has 20 years’ experience as a non-executive director across a range of industry sectors. Her objective is to be a positive influence for improvement and growth in each organisation and her primary areas of focus are strategy, risk, governance and capability. Joan has more than 35 years of commercial business experience holding a range of senior roles. 

She is an experienced change management leader and has consistently delivered successful business results including strong people engagement. A qualified barrister, she has spent most of her working life managing commercial and manufacturing businesses and people. She joined the insurance industry in 1992 in London; and completed 16 years as CEO and Director of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance in December 2013. Joan is a Fellow of ANZIIF, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is currently a non-executive director for several organisations.

Philip Gentry has more than 25 years’ experience in leadership positions within financial services, property, agribusiness, international trade, commodities and logistics. Philip is currently CFO and COO at Equity Trustees after joining them in January 2016.  

Previously, Philip held positions including CFO at Grocon, Managing Director of Agrium Asia Pacific, CFO of AWB and a number of leadership positions at ANZ Bank in corporate banking, international trade finance and investor relations. Philip Gentry has a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales, an MBA from the International Management Development Institute (IMD) in Switzerland and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program.

Tony Maughan is General Manager of Australia Division Services at ANZ. Tony has over 25 years’ experience in senior roles in the financial services and professional services sectors in Australia and Asia. He has a track record of success in driving revenue growth across portfolio-based businesses, complex problem solving, strategy development and the leadership of transformational change programs. Tony currently leads a range of execution and enablement teams for the Australian Division of ANZ. His professional career is complemented by active participation in a range of not-for-profit and community interests, with roles that have included: Director, Bicycle Network; Chair, Brunswick Cycling Club Centenary Committee; Committee Member, Mogul Ski Lodge; and Volunteer Mentor for LGPro Local Government Mentoring Program. Tony holds a Company Directors Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a MBA from Melbourne Business School and membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Chris Munro is an owner and executive director of Kiandra IT, a Melbourne-based technology company that delivers quality technology services and solutions to mid-market, enterprise and government clients. In his role as Director Technology Services, Chris is responsible for overseeing strategy and delivery across technology consulting, managed services, cyber security and cloud services. 

Chris leads a team of 35 talented IT professionals spanning technical support, service delivery and professional services. He is chair of the risk committee and is responsible for development and oversight of the company’s information security policy framework. Chris was awarded the AICD Company Directors Course Award in 2016 and is passionate about cyber security, agility, business transformation and sustainability strategy

Alison Milfull is a senior executive with over 18 years experience in marketing, digital and communications management across the arts, higher education, Government NFP and corporate sectors.

She has successfully led marketing functions with Greenfleet, La Trobe University and iconic Victorian organisations, such as Zoos Victoria and ACMI. She has extensive experience in brand strategy and revitalisation, digital transformation, campaign strategy, customer experience, and growing impact for purpose-driven organisations.

Alison is currently consulting to organisations in the arts, NFP and services sectors and recently trained as a Climate Reality Leader with Al Gore's The Climate Reality Project. She holds a PhD in communications from UNSW and her professional accreditations have included marketing, agile project management and lean management.

Steve Cox is a highly accomplished retail leader with over 25 years experience in retail management across leading brands in Australia and the United Kingdom. 

Today Steve in Managing Director of Dymocks Retail. Taking on the challenges of the book retailing industry, Steve has direct experience in managing change through a disruptive retail environment. 

Steve is also on the Board of Dymocks Children's Charities, a not for profit organisation specialising in literacy support for disadvantaged children in priority areas across Australia.

Thinus is a senior executive at Coles and has considerable commercial experience in the retail, strategy and liquor sectors. He joined Coles in 2010, where he has held various senior leadership roles.

Thinus is currently accountable for the international development of the Coles Export business as well as delivering innovation and transformation of the domestic store network. Thinus drives sustainability at Coles and also leads the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander plan. 

Thinus' qualifications include a Master of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch and a Master of Science from the University of Lausanne.
