To celebrate the opening of Disney-Pixar’s latest film, Finding Dory, the sequel to the much beloved Finding Nemo, Greenfleet's longest supporter, The Walt Disney Company, is launching 'Remember the Reef' - a campaign inspiring Australians to make a difference and help protect the Great Barrier Reef.

Greenfleet is proud to partner with Disney to 'Remember the Reef' and take action to protect one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. Like many coral reefs worldwide, the Great Barrier Reef is under threat from bleaching, storm damage, poor water quality and climate change. As part of the 'Remember the Reef' campaign, Greenfleet will plant trees in the upper catchments of the Great Barrier Reef as well as restore mangroves along coastal wetlands.

Restored wetlands store carbon and also filter sediment and toxins flowing from the Queensland hills into the Great Barrier Reef, thereby improving water quality so new coral can grow.

The restoration and protection of forests in catchments of the Great Barrier Reef and of mangroves along coastal wetlands will improve local water quality, protect wildlife diversity and help tackle climate change. This has a domino effect, in that Greenfleet's revegetation work in these areas is a sustainable, long-term approach to protect the reef we all love and cherish.

You too can make a difference! Join us in protecting this unique place in the world by making a donation and visit Remember the Reef to find how else you can get involved.
