One team - One thousand native trees

One team - One thousand native trees

Last Thursday, 12 volunteers from Airservices Australia (one of Greenfleet's longest supporters, recipient of the Greenfleet Honours Award in 2013) gave a helping hand in one of our native forests near Brisbane, Qld.

In just one day, the participants managed to plant 1,000  trees to complete part of the biodiverse forest in the Pimpama River Conservation Area with native species. This is an outstanding effort given the soil on the site and the very sunny and windy conditions.

Here is what one of the Airservices Australia volunteers had to say about the day:

"Thank you for arranging a very enjoyable and worth while tree planting yesterday.

It was a glorious day to be working outside with Airservices colleagues, Greenfleet and Gold Coast City Council. It was well organised, good to help our environment and lots of fun. It was nice to meet everyone."

Whether it is by planting trees with Greenfleet or offsetting emissions with us, supporting Greenfleet is a simple way to positively act on climate change and protect the environment.

From all of us at Greenfleet - thank you for your hard work and dedication!
