Wayne has worked in the sustainability sector for many years. He was the founder and CEO of ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability Oceania through which local governments saved over 20 million tonnes of CO2-e. He has consulted to a wide variety of organisations including the Green Building Council of Australia and the Bicycle Network, as well as international groups such as the International Energy Agency. Wayne has presented at many conferences around the world and developed workshops to demonstrate practical approaches to sustainability.
Michael is based in Narrm (Melbourne). He has over 30 years’ experience in natural resource management. As a professional forester, he has worked in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Ireland, at the CSIRO, at the Conservation Commission of the Northern Territory and Natural Resources Conservation League. He was Parks Manager at Bayside City Council in Melbourne. After spending two years as a Financial Planner advising clients on agricultural investments, he entered the not-for-profit sector at Conservation Volunteers Australia and now leads Greenfleet’s major projects, including government, community and stakeholder liaison. He is an Atlantic Fellow for Social Equity and firmly believes that providing better environments provides better lives.
Annabel is an experienced brand manager and marketing & communications leader who has successfully negotiated complex organisational structures to integrate a commercial and customer centric approach. She is passionate about working with purpose driven organisations, contributing to positive and sustainable change. Annabel worked in universities for over 15 years, supporting participation, diversity and social inclusion in education, and now leads Greenfleet's Marketing & Engagement team towards growing climate hope.
Alex has over 20 years’ experience in forestry and environmental restoration. He has worked with farmers and other landholders as well as private and government stakeholders to establish and manage reforestation and conservation projects with a total area of over 30,000 hectares in a diverse array of Australian landscapes. His background and qualifications in ecological consulting and restoration, combined with 10 years production forestry experience, underlie his drive to achieve practical and efficient biodiversity restoration outcomes at scale. Alex now heads up our amazing revegetation team.
