Lyka + Greenfleet: Nourishing Dogs, Growing Forests

What we do isn’t possible without our supporters. Our long-term partnership with Lyka means being a good dog parent can go hand in paw with being kind to the planet.

As a leading Australian pet food brand, Lyka isn’t just serving up fresh, nutritious meals for dogs, it is serving up real climate action too. Since partnering with Greenfleet in 2021, Lyka’s support is enabling us to deliver tangible climate action. By planting legally protected forests that remove carbon and restore nature, we’re helping the business offset the emissions it can’t avoid, while growing legally protected habitat for native wildlife.

For Lyka, Every Meal Is Part Of A Bigger Story

Lyka is driven by the belief that dogs deserve high quality, nutritious food – without the environmental impact. Founded in 2017, it creates healthy, vet-formulated meals that are cooked, snap frozen and delivered directly to customers.

When Lyka first approached us, the team was seeking to offset the emissions generated through manufacturing and transportation and was determined to find an organisation that shared its ethos.

Greenfleet’s reforestation projects deliver measurable climate impact, create vital habitat for wildlife and are protected for up to 100 years, making us a perfect fit for Lyka and its commitment to accountable environmental stewardship.

Commitment Meets Action

As a B Corp certified organisation, positive impact is built into everything Lyka does. While it offsets unavoidable emissions, the business is conscious of reducing environmental impact across its team, manufacturing and supply chain.

Incredibly, Lyka has reduced its internal manufacturing emissions intensity by 36 percent, collected and recycled the equivalent of 15.8 million plastic bottles, and donated over 29,000 kilograms of meals to local pet shelters.

When it comes to being a sustainable business, Lyka truly is walking the talk.

Five Years Of Growing Hope Together

In 2026, we’re proud to celebrate five years of partnership with Lyka, an organisation that leads by example when it comes to sustainability.

Through our partnership, Lyka has offset over 115,000 tonnes of carbon, the equivalent of removing 26,745 average-sized cars off our roads for a whole year. Its support has helped us grow forests at Spurfield Road in New South Wales, Cherry Gully in Queensland, and Glendalough in Victoria.

“We’re grateful to partner with Greenfleet, whose protected and actively managed forests are built to last, allowing for the restoration of biodiverse habitats, carbon removal, and empowerment of local communities,” says Gabriel Guedes, Lyka’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

“Through this partnership, Lyka has unlocked meaningful environmental action beyond our direct operations, supporting high-integrity climate solutions that benefit future generations.”

Doing The Work, From Bowl To Bushland

Our partnership with Lyka goes beyond offsetting emissions. The organisation has participated in our matched giving campaigns, amplifying its climate action even further, and staff members are regular attendees at our supporter planting events.

These planting events are an opportunity for our supporters to see firsthand the work they’re enabling through their partnership with us. We’ve been proud to host the Lyka team at Lucas Heights on Dharawal Country in New South Wales and at our Strzelecki Nature Link project on Boonwurrung Country in Victoria.

Partner With Us And Be Part Of The Change We’re Growing

For nearly 30 years Greenfleet has worked with organisations like Lyka to deliver authentic climate action by restoring native forests. There are many ways we can work together: offsetting carbon emissions, planting company forests, or developing tailored solutions that help you reach your sustainability goals.

We are committed to building deeply engaged partnerships by keeping our supporters connected to their forests through regular updates, inviting them to take part in planting days, and equipping them with tools and storytelling to help them share the impact they’re making.

If your business is seeking to take practical climate action, Greenfleet will work with you to design a bespoke, authentic solution.
