Offset your emissions with Greenfleet

Why offset?

Reducing your carbon footprint is not an easy task and there will always be some emissions that are unavoidable. One way that you can reduce your impact on the environment is to offset the emissions associated with your life.

When you offset with Greenfleet, you are donating to plant native forests which reduce the impacts of climate change, improve soil and water quality, and restore habitat for native wildlife, including many endangered species.

These forests capture carbon emissions from the atmosphere, playing an important role in the fight against climate change.

Whether it's your car, a flight, or the electricity and gas at home, carbon offsetting is a simple, effective way to reduce your carbon footprint and help protect our climate.

You will be supporting local reforestation projects and a nature-based solution to climate change. Offset donations over AUD$2 are tax-deductible within Australia.

What can I offset?

At Greenfleet we focus on offsetting emissions generated through vehicles, air travel and the gas and electricity used by households and businesses.

For instance, if you drive a medium sized car you can make a donation of only $64.50* a year so that Greenfleet can plant enough native trees to offset the emissions on your behalf. That's it'll cost you less than a cup of coffee a week!

When you offset carbon emissions with Greenfleet, you are also supporting native reforestation projects in Australia and New Zealand.

What's the difference between the offsets that airlines offer and Greenfleet offsets?

While you can choose to offset your travel through many airlines when you book flights, these programs often focus on carbon mitigation via carbon credits (this means that these efforts reduce emissions, instead of carpturing them). For example, one of Qantas's offset initiatives supports existing wind farm projects in India.

Offsetting with Greenfleet means that you are directly supporting native, biodiverse reforestation projects in Australia and New Zealand, that capture carbon from the atmosphere. Capturing carbon is the only scalable means we have to counteract the negative impacts of climate change.

Greenfleet also protects the forests for 100 years and uses professional tree contractors to plant our large-scale forests for the best chance of tree survival.
