Real Climate Action That Restores Nature

As Australia’s first carbon offset provider, Greenfleet has restored legally protected, native forests for nearly 30 years. Since 1997, we have planted over 11.7 million native trees, creating 580 forests that will remove 6 million tonnes of carbon as they grow.

We know the importance of being a trusted climate action partner. That’s why we’re committed to restoring, protecting, and monitoring our projects and making a tangible impact on behalf of our supporters.

With Greenfleet, you can help grow our forests, restore nature, and grow climate hope.

Climate Action With Greenfleet Is Different

Greenfleet has established, protected, and maintained native biodiverse forests for nearly 30 years. To ensure we deliver authentic and comprehensive climate action, we have multi-phase verification and protection processes in place.

  • 100-year Forest Protection:  We legally protect each forest we restore for up to 100 years through an on-title agreement, ensuring it cannot be cut down for any reason.
  • Carbon Methodology:  We measure the carbon uptake at each of our reforestation projects using FullCAM, a model developed by the CSIRO and approved by the Australian Government.
  • Verification:  Our carbon calculations are assured by a Federal Government-accredited carbon auditor, and our work is independently audited by Pitcher Partners.
  • Ongoing Monitoring:  After planting, we have a comprehensive monitoring schedule in place for the first five years of growth and utilise remote and on-the-ground monitoring throughout the forest’s lifetime.
  • No Secondary Markets: When you offset with Greenfleet, you cannot trade or onsell your offsets. The focus is on genuine, long-term action to protect our climate and restore nature.

    Wildlife Outcomes

Wildlife returning to our forests is a clear indication of ecosystems successfully reestablishing. Native birds are often the first to return, and koalas have been seen utilising Greenfleet plantings within a few years of growth.

As our forests mature, we conduct assessments to measure the impact of our work on local fauna. These assessments include wildlife surveys, acoustic monitoring, nesting box monitoring and more.

  • Regional Investment

In 2025, Greenfleet invested around $2.8 million into regional economies through our revegetation operations, contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal for Decent Work & Economic Growth.

We have staff based in regional areas and wherever we can, we purchase, hire, and source locally, from native plant nurseries, restoration specialists, equipment contractors, and ecological consultancies.

  • Reconciliation

We support and work with First Nations communities where possible. Through our partnership with the Kabi Kabi Peoples Aboriginal Corporation on the Noosa Restoration and Reconciliation Project, Greenfleet is providing economic support, employment opportunities and traineeships.

When we deliver projects with cultural benefits identified by Traditional Owners, we work with the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation to verify these.

Why Support Greenfleet

  • High Quality Carbon Offsets

Greenfleet’s carbon offset projects restore previously cleared land with locally native plant species to restore nature while removing carbon from the atmosphere.

  • Legally Protected Forests

The native forests we restore are legally protected for up to 100 years. This protection and our ongoing monitoring ensure we are growing resilient, native forests.

  • Expert Revegetation Knowledge

We have over 25-years experience restoring protected, Australian forests, and aim to work with local Communities and First Nations peoples wherever possible.

  • Multi-level Verification

We use CSIRO-verified carbon accounting to measure sequestration at our forests. Our carbon estate is also verified by an Australian government recognised carbon auditor.

  • Wildlife Habitat Restoration

While removing carbon, our biodiverse forests create vital wildlife habitat that is legally protected. In 2025 alone we restored 444 hectares of koala habitat.

  • Tax Deductible

As a registered environmental charity, contributions to Greenfleet over $2 are tax deductible in Australia.

Genuine Climate Action With Greenfleet

We encourage our community to reduce emissions where possible, but we know that emissions are reality in all aspects of life and business.

Climate action is not an opportunity to greenwash, extend the use of fossil fuels, or a license to pollute. While we welcome criticism of some types of carbon offsetting schemes, supporting projects with true environmental benefits remains an effective way to manage the emissions we can’t avoid.

When you offset with Greenfleet, you are not investing in a financial product. Our offsets cannot be on-sold or traded. Our focus is genuine environmental impact that will benefit our climate, nature, and wildlife for generations to come.

Working With Greenfleet

We work with hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals committed to reducing their environmental impact through the restoration of native forests. Since 1997, we have planted enough native forests to remove 6 million tonnes of carbon on their behalf.
